"EDUCATION IS NOT THE PREPRATION OF LIFE
EDUCATION IS LIFE ITSELF"

Java was created by James Gosling, Patrick Naughton, Chris Warth, Ed Frank and Mike

Sheridan at Sun Microsystems, Inc. in 1991. It took 18 months to develop a working

version. And was named “OAK”. The name Oak was given to it because of the Oak tree

outside Gosling’s office. Later on it was changed to “Green”. And now it is known as “Java”

from 1995 for the reason that the creator’s of java consumed a lot of “Java Coffee” during

the period this language was in process.
